Complete Electronic Transaction
I was just wondering how it would affect us if all sort of money transaction was made electronic. We will not be carrying cash in the hand and all the shops would accept only card - debit or credit. No form of hard cash transaction would be possible. I think this will first and foremost bring out the black money as all transaction is going to be routed through banks and government can easily keep a tab on it. This would also prevent bribe in the form of cash to certain extend. This would make begging impossible. We no longer have to worry about soiled and torn notes. No problem of giving exact change. The advantage seems to be many!

Reasons Why People Buy iPod?
I have not seen much advertisements for iPod...at least here in the area where I live.
Then Why is it that its selling like hot cakes? And you know wat - I am thinking of buying one.... I was on that side of the group which believed iPod was just another fancy electronic good, it sleek design, clarity of sound and brand apart. But still I thought the music from my PCs speaker or head phone was more than enough. But still I am forced to change my thoughts of late. Reason the one and a half hour travel I am now making to reach my office. All the people I see around have ear phones plugged to their ears. One, it helps to pass the one and half hours, two - music is good for us(?!), three - it helps shut off the noise from the traffic around you. And it can double up as a pen drive - helping me to carry data with me. Should I buy or not?......I wish I could find some thing to plug into the nose to prevent the polluted air from getting in :)....See oxygen please!

Harry Potter and Deathly Hallows Plot Spoiler
Answers to who dies in the Last part.
Will Harry Potter die?
And answers to many other questions are NOT given here :)
I just added this post to see if this makes any difference to the number of view or page ranking. Or may be this is blocked by Google in its search result. Does sharing of the plot have makes anybody target for action through law? I wonder - anyhow please note this is just a test. I don't even read this books even though I am feel its and interesting book. But I got that book on the day of release itself - Still I may not read it... :)

Harry Potter - and the huge money that goes with it
Don't worry - this is not plot spoiler or any where neat it. Actually have not read Harry Potter except for one book. I happened to read an article about the amount of money that was spent on maintaining the security of the book and secresy of the plot. It was a staggering 20 million in dollars. And was thinking if there might be a cheaper, smarter way. May be make the book in E-Format and those want to buy will get a secret password on buying to access it on the day of release. But thats a very bad idea as putting it on the web itself makes it more unsecure. It will be easy for a person to share it on the web any many other infinite ways. And I read another blog which suggest that they be allowed to buy a book without the last three chapers. One who buys the book will get a access to that last three chapters on the release day. Even though this too has its own disadvantage - this seems to be an idea to consider. Can anyone else think of better ways?
The Talk Gadget
Well as it is with Google - they release products wihout any info or ad. And I found out one recently. I am not sure how long it has been around, but it was certainly useful addition I was searching for on Google Talk. One of the main features I miss in GTalk which is in Yahoo was the conference option which allowed more than two people to chat with each other. And by chance I happened to see this tool called Talk Gadget which is the web page version of Gtalk(that is u can use chat from the web browser like in Gmail), and it has lots of cool features including the Conference ability :).. Just explore to find more... - http://talk.google.com.

Rediff - Trying hard, not smart
When Google announced it was going to provide 1 GB mail space, silently another mail service here converted its mailbox capacity to 1GB even before Yahoo and Hotmail. When Gmail mailbox space was converted to unlimited - this service too converted its mailbox capacity to unlimited. Similarly its interface was converted to Ajax - second only to Gmail. It has a good news service, shopping blog etc... despite having reasonable popularity, it still fails to get the hype it deserves. Reason - in the title. May be they need to try some innovative feature - something first in the Web which will put it n the spotlight. - www.rediff.com

The New Blogger Beta
The new blogger beta is NOT GOOD. Here are the reasons:
1) The user interface of the previous blogger was much much better. The teams at google have selectively modified the nice features of previous interface and killed it. Example - The large Publish button is now a tiny small box; the list of my blog in the dashboard now looks awful. The previous interface was so good!
2) New templates have been added which they compare to a box of color full crayons!! But I don't see any new templates in the offering - only the interface for showing those templates have been changed...and of course little modifications here and there of the previous templates.
3) One of the features which allow our blog to be viewed by selected number of people is noteworthy. Nothing more to boast about it.
4) The most cruel among them all is that they won't allow us to switch to our previous blog interface. Of course they did warn about it during conversion, but who thought the new Blogger Beta would suck.
Bottom Line: Don't switch to the new Blogger Beta - at least for now.

Ban(e)
Coke and Pepsi were in the news, again for the wrong reason. Another accusation that there was high level of pesticide dissolved in their products. It is high time that we realise how far we are being cheated by these MNCs. There are also rumors that their products in India are not even comparable to that of the same products in other countries like US in terms of Taste, Energy, and Purity. Moreover they are draining the underground water at places where they have set up factories. And did I tell you how much waste of money it is to buy those cool drinks. It barely costs 50 paisa or so to prepare them and we are buying them at Rs.10 and above.
Banning or no banning, it is going to have effect only when people realise the above and voluntarily stop drinking it. Let us go for our home made alternatives like fresh fruit juices which are certainly much healthier and tastier. Lets chill out....
