Election Gimmicks
Election time in India is time during which we can watch all sorts off gimmicks being done by politicians to woo voters. An apt example is the promise of giving away free televisions, made by a major political party here. Other parties are not far behind. They have their own stock of goodies for people(ofcourse all of them being pure nonsense) like 15kg rice etc.
I am surprised that some sect of people still belive these gibberish and vote for them.I think the party should be made accountable for all the promises made by them. If they fail to fulfill the promises then they must be banned for the next election.
The process of giving every thing free is not a solution to bring people to the top. I belive it is always better to teach a man to fish rather than giving him one. The process of free TVsets, rice and reservations should go. Rather they must be given good education free of cost and motivate them to go and score onpar with other students. That is what is going to give them a sense of achievement and fulfillment in life.
